The Southern California Gathering of Goats and Jim Wangers, the "Godfather of the GTO" invite you to the Wangers' Collection in Oceanside, CA for a musclecar celebration—the Tour de Wangers Show 'n Shine on November 14, 2010!
As the “ad man” for Pontiac during its glory days, Wangers was notorious for his outlandish GTO promotions as well as his late night “outings” on Detroit’s Woodward Avenue where Pontiac’s prowess was proven time and time again. Our government would have nothing of that today—V8 performance is a not politically correct. However, thanks to enthusiasts like you, the American Musclecar lives—and that is what Tour de Wangers is all about—celebrating the performance heritage of Detroit.
You will not want to miss this special event. Along with your own very special American performance car, there will be quite a few specialty cars on display for some great collectors in the West. Already confirmed is the infamous '64 GTO...the Car and Driver magazine test car.

Muscle will be joining us with his books and will be autographing books
for purchase. Robert Genat, author of the recently released book Woodward
Avenue: Cruising the Legendary Strip will also be appearing and he too
will be autographing books for purchase.
On the art front, Art "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, the artist who with his partner Van Kaufman produced all of those wonderful Wide-Track ads of the 60s will be displaying his pieces of art that are available for purchase.
Our raffle grand prize is what we call a "Car Show Kit". It is a 10' x 10' EZ-Up and two Captains Chairs. Just load this Car Show Kit into your trunk and you'll be living is style and comfort at your next car show.

Open to ALL American Performance Cars; Pontiacs, Chevrolets, Chryslers, Oldsmobiles, Fords, Dodges, Buicks, Plymouth, etc. If it is an American car and it “hauls” then we want you to bring it on out to Tour de Wangers in Oceanside on November 14th
Your $25 Pre-Registration gets you two (2) lunches.
Additional lunches can be pre-purchased for $10 each.
Pre-Registration is NOW CLOSED.
We invite you to attend the show and register on-site beginning at 8 AM.
Day of show entries are NOT guaranteed lunch.
A limited number of lunches will be available on the day of show for purchase.
Lunch tickets will be distributed on a first come basis so we encourage you to
arrive early.
We are please to again have the good folks from Holy Smoke Barbecue serving up our lunch. Lunch will be a barbecue brisket sandwich with two side dishes; cole slaw and BBQ beans.
